Isabelle Plumb

Events Organiser

Hello! I am Isabelle and I took my GCSEs and A-levels at Newport Girls’ High School, which had a fiercely competitive entrance exam, going on to complete my BSc in Psychology from the University of Lincoln.

I used to be a cabin crew member for British Airways which over the four years gave me many valuable attributes that include collaboration, interpersonal skills, building rapport, time management, and conflict resolution. I have also completed online HSQE courses in preparation for my return to university: Mental Health Awareness and Understanding Autism, and also completed the Child Psychology diploma with the Centre of Excellence.

This last year I completed my MSc in Forensic Psychology and Mental Health at Coventry University and achieved a Merit. Both of my degrees are accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). Alongside my MSc I gained a place on the Prison Education Placement with Novus at HMP Birmingham; helping offenders with their education. After my MSc and prison placement I accepted a job at Willowdene Rehabilitation Ltd as a Wellbeing Support Worker to ensure offenders are provided with resources regarding emotional wellbeing and delivering this to offenders, working closely with Probation Services.

For more than 10 years I have really enjoyed being involved in the guardianship service, preparing and organising events. In my spare time I love to travel, exploring different cultures and foods. At home I enjoy going on long walks with my other half and our dog and watching documentaries.
